Maus I and Maus II, by Art Spigelman, depict a Jew's life in Poland during the Holocaust through 295 graphic pages. Once the Germans attack Poland, Vladek, a Jew, joins the Polish army to fight them. He is captured and put in a camp, but is let back to his home later. The Nazis start killing Jews, so he hides with his family in a bunker, but they are found and taken to Auschwitz. Luckily, the Nazis run away from Auschwitz and the advancing Russian battlefront, and Vladek and his wife survive. These two books are very interesting and informational.
